Well! It’s a Mon- no, Tuesday (who is awake on Mondays anyway?) and we’re back from our holidays to have a blog. I jetted back from Melbourne so I’d be home in time for The Flaming Lips who will battle the pink robots with Yoshimi (and me) tonight at the Hordern Pavilion.
But anyway, Melbourne is pretty good. Salvador Dali and John Brack exhibitions were delightful (go to them) and I managed to drop by the Express Media offices to say hi too. I also sat in many cafes and drank many coffees and admired many laneways and drank vodka from a syringe at The Croft Institute.
However, the sun is out here, and I’m going to get back to work. Sydney, being really badly run and difficult to drive in, is home to many a dashing cyclist who may be interested in a bit of a bike swap. You can go there to swap bike parts and bikes, get bike parts at a 10% discount and talk gears and chains and handlebar tassles with other cycling enthusiasts. Also present will be reps from the Bicycle Film Festival who combine disparate but harmonising interests of cycling and cinema. They’ll be showing some teasers to whet your appetite/grease your chains.
There are gonna be roller races and a chances to show your pretty bikes to other people. Le Pista Resistance (that’s a French-Italian pun, extra points) are involved, hosting all the bike comps and events. Deus Ex Machina is at 98-14 Parramatta Road, Camperdown, just near Sydney Uni.

Hi Amelia,
nice bumping into you tonight – great gig huh? I am thinking of going to Melbourne to check out both of those exhibitions.
