If you find yourself wandering aimlessly down Oxford Street this Sunday afternoon, searching desperately for any kind of distraction from the 3pm hangover that seems to have made home in all the hard-to-reach-places of your pitiful existence, duck into the ACP for the latest in their ongoing Tea With… series.
Andrew Frost, founder and editor of the art life blog, and presenter of the ABC mini-series of the same name, will be passing the butter and spilling the milk with some Really Quite Exciting People – Artistic directors Sydney Theatre Company’s Andrew Upton (AKA Not That Nice Famous Lady – The Other One), Lisa Havilah from the Campbelltown Arts Centre and Kristy Edmunds, king-pin of the Melbourne International Arts Festival. Together they’ll be talking about “striking a balance between audiences, stakeholders and critical agendas in developing their programs” – which wouldn’t be my personal topic of choice for lazy Sunday chit-chat, but I’ll be more than happy to try and catch some success germs by sitting a bit too close to them.
This shouldn’t be a deal-breaker, but no word yet on whether tea will actually be involved. Still, it gave us an excuse to post a picture of a dog in a pink bowtie…
